MR. PINK TAKES FLIGHT

From the fertile mind of Philippe Katerine comes Mignonisme an artistic movement that brings to life a universe as unexpected and delicate as the artist behind it. With wide-ranging and highly poetic influences, the movement embraces and promotes an aesthetic of “cuteness” in our physical and psychological environments. Simply put, Mignonisme is a love letter to the beauty of simplicity.

Philippe Katerine presents a series of inflatable sculptures in public spaces, all featuring “Monsieur Rose” (Mr. Pink). The monumental icon of Mignonisme can be found perched on rooftops around the city. These characters transform the streets into playful places and our daily travels into delightful, colorful journeys.

From January 14 to March 30, 2025, WINTERACTIVE, a free art experience accessible to all, returns for a second edition with interactive artworks and play elements at 17 different sites, presented by the Downtown Boston Alliance.
