MIGNONIST EXHIBITION
Visit Mignonism is an artistic movement dreamed up by Philippe Katerine, whose universe is as surprising and delicate as its creator. With its resolutely poetic and offbeat influences, this movement advocates the propagation of cuteness in our physical and psychic environments. The Mignoniste exhibition unfurls inside the Aire publique EXMURO and spills out into the public space with a trail of inflatable sculptures bearing the effigy of "Monsieur Rose".
Philippe Katerine's universe encompasses a wide range of media: drawings, paintings, photographs, videos and sculptures. His cute images evoke serious subjects from an offbeat, benevolent perspective. For the artist, it's all about making the painful cute, to make it more bearable. Like visual poems, her comical proposals touch on the magic of everyday life with a charming dose of absurdity. In an inclusive and accessible artistic approach, the popular artist reveals the full range of his exuberant creative palette.
