MONSIEUR ROSE TAKES OFF
Coined by French artist Philippe Katerine, Mignonisme is a poetically offbeat movement that celebrates the aesthetics of the cute, both in our urban environments and in our inner worlds. In this spirit, Philippe Katerine is deploying a series of inflatable sculptures in public spaces, featuring "Monsieur Rose", the emblematic and irresistibly endearing figure of Mignonisme. These monumental works take over the city with a mischievous gentleness, transforming the streets into a colorful, whimsical universe that reenchants our daily commutes.
Presented in conjunction with Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach, Monsieur Rose's sculptures seduce visitors to Lincoln Road, harmoniously interacting with the district's singular architecture.
This project is presented in collaboration with the rentingART agency.
