MR. PINK TAKES FLIGHT
Coined by the French artist Philippe Katerine, Mignonisme (“Cuteism”) is a poetically off-kilter movement that embraces the aesthetics of cuteness in both our physical surroundings and inner worlds. In this spirit, Philippe Katerine unveils a series of inflatable sculptures in public spaces, all featuring Monsieur Rose (Mr. Pink)—the monumental icon of Mignonisme. With gentle charm, these oversized figures playfully inhabit the urban landscape, transforming city streets into vibrant, whimsical realms and turning everyday journeys into joyful, candy-colored adventures.
Timed with Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach, Mr. Pink’s presence enlivens Lincoln Road, delighting visitors and locals as it creatively engages with the district’s unique architecture.
