The exhibition

Ordinary wonders

From June 5 to October 25, 2026, EXMURO presents Merveilles ordinaires, a program of contemporary art exhibitions at Aire publique de Québec. Featuring artists Ève Cadieux, Dgino Cantin and Marc-Antoine K. Phaneuf, this season explores our relationship with everyday objects through immersive installations, photographic works and visual narratives. A new edition of the Museum Of Bad Art is also added to the program, proposing an original reflection on the value, taste and memory associated with the objects that surround us.

Through the practices of collecting, assembling and transforming, artists invest the Aire publique with works that reveal the hidden poetry of the banal. Exhibitions address the themes of memory, the archive, the marvellous, popular culture and used objects. Whether precious, obsolete or familiar, these objects become sensitive witnesses to our lives, telling intimate and collective stories.

Located in the heart of Place-Royale, EXMURO's Aire publique invites the public to discover a unique cultural program in Quebec City, where contemporary art dialogues with the history, architecture and heritage of the district.
